Section 1: Overview (approx. 100 words)
For my FMP (final major project) I have been told to make a form of media that has to involves a hero (or anti-hero) here is a description:

“A hero is a person or main character of a literary work who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through impressive feats of ingenuity, bravery or strength, often sacrificing his or her own personal concerns for some greater good.” I could make a tile sequence, game/concepts, assets, short film, poster or a graphic novel.

 

 

Section 2: Project origin (approx. 100 words)
I arrived at my idea because I like sci-fi movies/games and I would like to incorporate this into my FMP, as it will motivate me to work more as I want to succeed. Classic 70s sci-fi comics (I like the abstract nature of these comics), the game No Man’s Sky’s (I like the design of the ships and the art style), and I want to incorporate theses art styles into my assets have inspired me.

 

 

 

A brief description of how you arrived at your final idea? What inspirational material did you research and why?

 

Section 3: Synopsis of Product (form, content, genre, narrative etc.)
For my FMP (Final major project) I am creating multiple assets for a game, it is in the sci-fi genre and will be for a game were you fly around destroying other space ships. I’m making two different fighter ships and one large capital ship with a similar size to a star destroyer from star wars.A description of the final product including audience, market research and specific details relating to intended product. (Duration, size etc.)

 

Section 4:  Format (film, website, photography, documentary, animation)

For my FMP (Final major project) I am creating multiple assets for a game, I will not be making the game as I want to put more effort into my 3d models because I want them to look more detailed. I will be making a large ship, and two smaller ships, I have also considered making a planet if I have any spare time. I will make and fully texture all three of my assets in 3ds max. The game I will be making the assets for (which I am not making) will be a third person shooter set in space.
Section 5: Who are your target audience?
My target audience is people who like sci-fi and enjoy mass multiplayer games with a lot of action and not much violent, I want  to try and attract a younger audience as there would be not blood or gore in the game, if I were to rate it I would give it a 7+.
Section 6: How will your project meet the needs and expectations of your ideal target audience?
I will make sure that my assets have a very particular art style so people will know what the game is about by just looking at it.
Section 7: Evaluation of skills needed to meet requirements
(approx. 150 words)
 

For my project I need to be good at using the software needed to create and texture my assets (3ds max) I also need to be able to use my imagination to create my assets as I am creating them from scratch with my mood board for inspiration. I also have to create a scene from these assets ether in 3DS max or in the unreal engine, I could even make a teaser trailer in adobe premiere this will acquire more developed skills in video editing to do this though.
